Otorhinolaryngology
Ancient Aesculapius considered a coryza to be a by-product of cerebrum. According to such diagnose they offered a treatment. According to Hippocrates the quickest and most effective method of treatment was phlebotomy (blood-letting). Nowadays the knowledge of the human organism has significantly broadened and correspondingly other methods of treatment are offered.
Most people don"t consider a running nose and rhoenite to be serious ailments. They say that if you cure a running nose, it will stop in 7 days, if not – in a week. Indeed, watery discharge from the nose is not harmful and you don"t have to cure it. But stuffiness in nose may be really harmful: paranasal sinus ventilation is affected, and sinusitis develops. If you don"t take proper measures at this stage, a bacterial flora will multiply and a purulent sinusitis will develop. The most often disease is antritis – a maxillomandibular sinuses inflammation. Unfortunately, indifference to a proper health and attempts of a long self-treatment may lead to this disease. People often try to cure a lingering coryza independently and turn to a physician only at the stage of chronic inflammation. At this stage the only way of treatment is purulent sinusitis pricking. In a severe case a single pricking is not enough, and a physician has to make it several times. Sometimes it is necessary to make an operation. What may be more painful than ear-ache? Those who have suffered from otitis call it a “lancinating ear”. People suffering from an acute purulent otitis with concurrent unbearable pain, temperature rise, and hearing impairment turn to a doctor. But there are cases of the so-called secretory otitis, which develops against a background of rhoenites, adenoid tissue growth, or after an infectious disease (for instance, flu). A person doesn"t feel an acute pain, the only symptom is stuffiness in ear, and he/she postpone the visit to a doctor. But if you don"t start treatment at a proper time, the consequences may be very severe.
Everyone feel tickling or lump in the throat, and obtrusive cough. The most widespread reason of turning to an otorhinolaryngologist in spring is chronic tonsillitis. The name of disease indicates its properties: it is rarely cured completely. To cure it one needs to undergo a full course of treatment of acute tonsillitis (quinsy).
The medical center “Ecomedservice” has at its disposal a modern ENT-room, the most recent outfits by means of which a doctor is able to make the right diagnose, and realize all the necessary treatment manipulations – ablutions, insufflations and etc.
